Who are we?

The Karnevalsgesellschaft Rheinische Verein was established in 1890 by Germans from the Rheinland. We are also known as Mardi Gras Society to gain a wider identity among everyone interested in the traditions of Karneval.

Our Verein has several sub-chapters with Reinhard Richter as President.  Our 'fanfaren' drum and bugle corps is headed by Rainer Mayer. Our Amazonen dancers are managed by Gisela Juengling Brandt. Our St. Hubertus Jagdclub (Hunting) is a separate chapter headed by Armin Hopp, President. (847)269-6613

Our focus is to promote our traditions of Karneval into a bigger family event. Our fests, music, dance, food and song defines Gemutlichkeit. Please join us at our club meetings every first and third Tuesdays each month. Our musicians meet every Thursday at 8:00 p.m. and our dancers every Monday at 8:00 p.m.
